HF (Inverted L)

Split radios between HF and VHF - avoid running two radios on HF bands due to interference. Setting up two HF antennas time consuming and requires additional masts/trees/etc.

Higher gain for VHF antenna desired. Alternatively, investigate better locations for VHF operation.

150W solar panel + 36AH battery worked well. Second set of panels required.

Operating from vehicles worked well and minimised setup time.

2m contacts tend to congregate around block change times - this leaves time to work on other bands.

If operating 6 hours, aim to coincide with other groups.
